Western Norway University of Applied Sciences (HVL) is one of Norway's largest public higher education institutions, bringing together approximately 16,500 students and 1,900 staff across five campuses in Bergen, Førde, Haugesund, Sogndal, and Stord.

Students in the Theatre SPACEs programme study at our Bergen campus, located at Campus Kronstad. Opened in 2014, the campus is an award-winning architectural landmark that thoughtfully combines historic railway workshops with contemporary design. Carefully restored industrial buildings now house inspiring learning spaces, creating a unique setting where heritage and innovation meet. The former locomotive workshop has been transformed into Norway's largest student café, while the old carpentry workshop is now a modern library that serves as a vibrant centre for study, collaboration, and creativity.

Campus Kronstad offers an inspiring environment for artistic exploration and interdisciplinary collaboration. Students have access to modern learning facilities, extensive study spaces, indoor and outdoor sports facilities, and 35 state-of-the-art simulation laboratories supporting education and research across health sciences, engineering, and sports. Located in the heart of Bergen, the campus also provides easy access to the city's rich cultural life, making it an ideal place to develop both academically and artistically.
